About

MyMentorTree’s mentorship program is a non-profit service provided to high school and middle school students which allows them to interact with college-level science students and Silicon Valley engineers. Our mentors act as personal guides and role models for students, provide a view of what careers in science and technology look like, and help students set educational goals

Mission

To serve students as an open source of information on what engineering is about, what engineers do, and how to pursue a career in engineering.

Vision

Empowering students to pursue a career in engineering.

Why is Mentorship Important?

More than half of middle and high school students in the U.S. have no clue what they want to be in the future and no plan to get there. Predominantly in low-income families, students are left to decide a career on their own with no guidance. They avoid engineering and science because of fear that these fields are too difficult, and because they lack peers and adults who can help them.
